The official National Celebration of
Literacy event is now over,
however
this site will remain live as a source of inspiration and
resources for teachers of literacy until next year, when
National Literacy and Numeracy Week 2011 is launched.
Get involved in the National Celebration of Literacy as part of National Literacy and Numeracy Week. This event is designed so that schools across the nation can join together to celebrate literacy.
Explore the website for all the information you need to get involved in the main activity for 2010 - digital stories. You can also select from a range of other ideas and excellent resources.
The activities developed for the National Celebration of Literacy will get your students reading and writing for real audiences and real purposes and put them on the path of Learning for Living. We want teachers and students from around Australia to join this celebration of literacy in 2010.
National Literacy Celebration Survey
On Friday 3 September everyone who has
registered for National Celebration of Literacy will
be receiving via email a short survey.
Each year we invite participants to complete a survey. In
2010 the activities and website have undergone significant
changes based on previous feedback.
Therefore, we would once again appreciate you completing
this survey to provide us with feedback for planning for
2011 celebrations. The survey will take less than
10 minutes to complete.
It would be helpful if you could complete it before
the end of September.
